Sage Robinson-Miller, ATC, CSCS

My Bio:

Hello!  My name is Sage Robinson-Miller and I am originally from Rapid City; a graduate of Stevens High School.  I attended South Dakota State University and was a member of the Jackrabbit Golf Team for four years.  I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Athletic Training, with a Secondary Education Certification.  I student taught at Sturgis Brown High School in the fall of 2000…and never left!  After that, I was a substitute teacher for a couple years, until a full-time teaching position opened up that was perfect for me!

The 2009-10 school year was my seventh year as a full-time teacher at Sturgis Brown High School and I just completed the first (of two years) of my master’s degree in education.  My teaching schedule includes an active group of classes:  Fitness I, II, III/Weight Lifting, Athletic Enhancement, and Psychology.  Besides teaching, I have been the Head Certified Athletic Trainer (provided by Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center) for ten years and I provide prevention, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries at the high school.  I also have another national certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  I spend a lot of time around athletes and sports!

I was married in the summer of 2009.  My husband is a teacher and a coach in the Rapid City school district.  I have a funny little pug and her name is Bubba.  I am very grateful to live a life that keeps a smile on my face and brings me much joy!
